The Sensata APL/UPL series APL111-1REC4-62-353-AM is a hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker designed for reliable power switching, circuit protection, and control. This legacy product offers a 35A current rating and a 277V voltage rating across its three poles.
Featuring a panel mount design and a lever actuator, this circuit breaker operates similarly to an ON-OFF switch under normal load conditions. Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The 'trip-free' design ensures the internal contacts cannot remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position.
This APL/UPL series protector is suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required. It is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235. Note that this is a legacy product and no new design-in orders are being accepted; Sensata Technologies recommends utilizing the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs.
