The Sensata APL/UPL series, including the APL1-1911-2, are hydraulic magnetic circuit protectors offering reliable, low-cost power switching, circuit protection, and control. The APL1-1911-2 features a single pole configuration with a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch. Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. This protector is 'trip free,' meaning the internal contacts will not remain closed under overload conditions, even if the handle is held in the ON position.
Designed for industrial, military, and information processing applications, this circuit breaker is suitable for any situation requiring precision operation. It is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235. The APL/UPL line offers various configurations, including series, shunt, and relay types, with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are also available.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The APL/UPL series is a legacy product. No new design-in orders are being accepted, and the 205 series is being discontinued. Sensata Technologies recommends utilizing the Airpax™ IAL series for new designs. For existing systems requiring specifications for this product, consult the datasheet.
