The AP1694MTR-G1 from Diodes Incorporated is a high-performance AC/DC LED driver controller optimized for mains dimmable LED lighting applications. It utilizes Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) technology and operates in Boundary Conduction Mode (BCM) to achieve high power factor (PF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD), while also ensuring high efficiency.

This controller offers accurate constant current (CC) regulation without the need for an opto-coupler or secondary control circuitry, simplifying the design and reducing Bill of Materials (BOM) cost. It supports a wide range of dimmer compatibility, including leading and trailing edge dimmers, and can achieve deep dimming down to 1%, with a dimming curve compliant with NEMA SSL6 standards.
