The AOZ8831DT-24 is an ultra-low capacitance one-line bi-directional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Alpha and Omega Semiconductor. It is designed to protect high-speed data lines and voltage-sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient events. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 24V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 26V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 48V at 1A.
This TVS diode provides robust ESD protection, meeting IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 with ±15kV air discharge and ±13kV contact discharge, as well as HBM ±15kV per MIL-STD-883. With an ultra-low typical capacitance of 0.35pF at 1MHz, it is ideal for high-speed data interfaces such as USB, HDMI, and Ethernet. The device is rated for a peak pulse current of 1.2A (8/20µs) and a peak pulse power of 60W.
The AOZ8831DT-24 is housed in a compact DFN 1.0x0.6mm package (2-XDFN, supplier device package 2-DFN), making it suitable for space-constrained designs. It is surface mountable and supports tape and reel packaging. The device is lead-free and halogen-free per the datasheet, and is rated for operation over a junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Typical applications include portable handheld devices, notebook computers, digital cameras, and portable GPS units.
