The AOZ8831ADI-05 is an ultra-low capacitance bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed by Alpha & Omega Semiconductor. It is intended to protect high-speed data lines and voltage-sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient overvoltage events.
This device features a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 19.5V at a peak pulse current of 2.5A (8/20µs waveform). It can handle a peak pulse power of 40W under the same conditions. The ultra-low capacitance of 0.3pF (typical at 1MHz) makes it suitable for high-speed signal lines without signal degradation.
The AOZ8831ADI-05 provides ESD protection exceeding IEC 61000-4-2 standards: ±25kV contact discharge and ±30kV air discharge. It also meets HBM requirements of ±25kV.
