The AOZ8131DI-05L is an ultra-low capacitance one-line bi-directional transient voltage suppressor diode designed by Alpha & Omega Semiconductor. It protects high-speed data lines and voltage-sensitive electronics from high transient conditions and ESD. The device incorporates one TVS diode in an ultra-small DFN 1006 package.
Key electrical specifications include a working peak reverse voltage of 5.0V, a maximum clamping voltage of 22V at a peak pulse current of 4A (8/20µs), and a typical capacitance of 1.25pF at 1MHz. It exceeds IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection levels of ±24kV contact and air discharge, and meets IEC 61000-4-4 EFT immunity of ±40A. The human body model rating is ±30kV.
The AOZ8131DI-05L is housed in a surface-mount 2-UDFN package (DFN 1006, 1.0mm x 0.6mm x 0.5mm). It operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is rated for ambient temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant per the datasheet.
Typical applications include portable handheld devices, keypads, data lines, notebook computers, digital cameras, portable GPS, and MP3 players. The ultra-small package and low capacitance make it ideal for high-speed signal protection where PCB space is at a premium.
