AOZ1375DI-01

The AOZ1375DI-01 from Alpha and Omega Semiconductor is a bidirectional, current-limited load switch designed for applications requiring robust circuit protection. It operates within a wide input voltage range of 3.4V to 23V, with both VINT and VBUS terminals rated for a maximum of 28V.

This device offers programmable current limiting and selectable over-voltage protection, which can be set using external resistors. It includes internal circuitry for short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown to prevent excessive power dissipation. The integrated soft-start function manages inrush current for capacitive loads, and its soft-start time can be adjusted with an external capacitor. In shutdown mode, it consumes less than 5μA.

The AOZ1375DI-01 is housed in a compact 3mm x 3mm DFN-12L package, suitable for space-constrained designs. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The switch configuration provides reverse blocking to isolate VINT and VBUS when disabled, making it ideal for applications like Thunderbolt/USB Type-C PD power switches in notebooks, desktops, monitors, and docking stations.

Key features include a typical on-resistance of 17.8mΩ, bidirectional operation, under-voltage and over-voltage lockout, and auto-restart fault recovery. The device also boasts ±4kV HBM ESD rating and ±8kV HBM ESD rating for VBUS and VINT pins.
