It combines a 17-channel, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with programmable alarms, twelve 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs), eight general-purpose I/O ports (GPIOs), an internal +2.5-V reference, and a local temperature sensor.

 

The twelve monotonic 12-bit DACs offer selectable output ranges of 0 to +5-V, 0 to +10-V, or -10 to 0-V, with high current drive capability up to ±15 mA. The ADC supports 17 external analog inputs, including 12 bipolar inputs with a ±12.5-V range and 5 high-precision inputs with a 0 to +5-V range. Programmable out-of-range alarms are also included.

 

The device operates from a 1.8-V to 5.5-V supply and features a low-power SPI-compatible serial interface in 4-wire mode. It is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The AMC7832IPAP is available in a 64-terminal HTQFP PowerPAD package (also known as 64-HTQFP, 10x10) and is surface-mountable.
