The Texas Instruments AM3517AZCN is a Sitara family microprocessor built around a single ARM Cortex-A8 core clocked at 600 MHz. It includes a NEON SIMD multimedia coprocessor and vector floating-point coprocessor for enhanced multimedia processing. The device supports LPDDR and DDR2 memory interfaces and provides an LCD display interface for direct panel connection.
The AM3517AZCN integrates hardware accelerators for image and video processing and includes a cryptographic acceleration engine for security. It features USB 2.0 (3 ports plus one with PHY), a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet MAC, and operates with I/O voltages of 1.8V and 3.3V and a core voltage of 1.2V. The microprocessor is available in a 491-NFBGA (17x17 mm) surface-mount package and is rated for an extended temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
