AM26LV32ID

The AM26LV32ID is a BiCMOS quadruple differential line receiver designed for balanced bus transmission in RS-422 and RS-485 systems. It features four receivers, half-duplex operation, and a maximum signaling rate of 32 Mbps. The device operates from a single 3.3V supply and accepts 5V logic inputs, making it suitable for mixed-voltage systems.

The receiver provides a common-mode input voltage range of -0.3V to 5.5V with ±200 mV input sensitivity and 50 mV typical input hysteresis for improved noise immunity. It includes open-circuit, short-circuit, and terminated fail-safe protection, ensuring predictable output states under fault conditions. The 3-state outputs allow direct connection to bus-organized systems, and the enable function is common to all four receivers with both active-high and active-low options.

With a maximum supply current of 17 mA and typical power dissipation of 27 mW, the AM26LV32ID is optimized for low-power applications. It supports up to 32 nodes on the bus and provides fault protection from -12V to 12V. The device is pin-to-pin compatible with the AM26C32 and AM26LS32 receivers.

The AM26LV32ID is available in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package with dimensions of 9.9mm × 6mm. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for industrial environments.
