The AM26C31CD is a quadruple differential line driver from Texas Instruments, designed to meet the requirements of TIA/EIA-422-B and ITU V.11 standards. It features four independent drivers with complementary outputs, making it suitable for balanced transmission lines.
The device operates from a single 5V supply (4.5V to 5.5V) and supports data rates up to 10 Mbps. It has a typical supply current of 100 µA and a maximum of 3000 µA. Propagation delay is typically 7 ns with pulse skew of 0.5 ns. The driver provides high output impedance in power-off conditions and offers fault protection from -14V to 14V.
The AM26C31CD can drive up to 32 nodes on a bus and supports a common-mode range of -7V to 7V. It is rated for automotive and catalog applications, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C for this commercial-grade variant (CD suffix). The part is an improved replacement for the AM26LS31 device.
