The AL9910ASP-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a high-voltage PWM LED driver controller providing an efficient solution for offline high brightness LED lamps. It operates from rectified line voltages ranging from 85VAC up to 277VAC and can withstand input voltages up to 500V, offering resilience to mains voltage transients.
This controller drives external MOSFETs at switching frequencies up to 300kHz, with the frequency determined by a single resistor. The AL9910/A topology creates a constant current through the LEDs, ensuring constant light output. The output current is programmed by an external resistor, allowing for the driving of both high and low current LEDs. LED brightness can be controlled via linear and PWM dimming.
The AL9910ASP-13 features >90% efficiency and an internal voltage regulator that removes the need for a startup resistor. It provides a 7.5V MOSFET drive and has a tighter current-sense tolerance of 5%. The device includes internal thermal protection (OTP).
