The AL8860QMP-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a high-efficiency, automotive-grade DC-DC step-down (buck) LED driver. It is designed to efficiently power single or multiple series of LEDs from a voltage source higher than the LED forward voltage.
This device features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and can deliver an externally adjustable output current up to 1.5A. It integrates a power switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit, allowing the output current to be set with an external resistor.
