This device features a wide operating voltage range from 2.5V to 60V, with a robust power dissipation capability of up to 1.5W in its PowerDI123 package. The AL5809-40QP1-7 delivers a fixed 40mA output current with a tight tolerance of ±5% and excellent temperature stability of 20ppm/°C, eliminating the need for external current-setting resistors.
It supports both high-side and low-side LED string driving and turns on after a short delay once the voltage across its terminals reaches approximately 1.5V. The device is qualified to AEC-Q100 and supports PPAPs, making it suitable for demanding automotive environments. It is also RoHS compliant and Halogen-free.
