The AL-05-40-0-M is a standard locking cable tie manufactured by Advanced Cable Ties, Inc. This 40 lbf (178 N) tensile strength tie is made from UV-resistant black nylon 6/6 polyamide (PA66). It measures 5.84 in (148.3 mm) in length, 3.56 mm (0.140 in) in width, and 1.24 mm (0.049 in) in thickness. It accommodates bundle diameters from 1.587 mm (0.0625 in) to 36.5 mm (1.44 in).
The cable tie is rated for a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C (-40 °F to 185 °F) with a minimum installation temperature of -20 °C (-4 °F).
