The AKM AK4621EF is a 24-bit stereo audio CODEC capable of supporting sampling rates up to 192kHz for both recording and playback. It utilizes AKM's Enhanced Dual-Bit architecture for the ADC, achieving high dynamic range, and the Advanced Multi-Bit architecture with Switched Capacitor Filter (SCF) technology for the DAC, ensuring low out-of-band noise and high jitter tolerance.
Key features include 2-channel ADC and DAC capabilities, with selectable digital filters for both. The ADC offers a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N) of 115dB and a Signal-to-Noise plus Distortion (S/(N+D)) of 102dB. The DAC provides an S/N of 115dB and an S/(N+D) of 100dB. The device supports a wide sampling rate range from 32kHz to 216kHz and features a 3-wire serial interface for microcontroller communication.
Designed for applications such as Pro Audio sound cards, Digital Audio Workstations, DVD recorders, and musical instrument recording systems, the AK4621EF operates within an analog supply voltage of 4.75V to 5.25V and a digital supply voltage of 3.0V to 3.6V.
