The AK4363VF is a stereo CMOS D/A converter with an on-chip phase-locked loop (PLL) designed for digital video broadcast set-top boxes and DVD players. It uses a Delta-Sigma architecture to achieve high-quality audio conversion with single-ended outputs that include internal analog filtering, eliminating the need for external filters.
Key performance specifications include a resolution of 24 bits, a sampling range from 16 kHz to 96 kHz (including half-speed, normal-speed, and double-speed modes), a typical signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of 102 dB, and a signal-to-noise plus distortion ratio of 90 dB at 5V supply. Power dissipation is typically 80 mW.
The device supports multiple data input formats (LSB justified, MSB justified, I²S) and can be controlled via a 3-wire serial interface or I²C bus. The integrated PLL generates master clock frequencies from a 27 MHz reference clock, offering flexibility for various audio systems. Operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply, the AK4363VF is specified for -40°C to +85°C operation and is housed in a compact 24-pin VSOP package (24-LSSOP).
24 bits.
It supports multiple sampling frequencies: 16kHz, 22.05kHz, 24kHz (half speed); 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz (normal speed); 64kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz (double speed).
Stereo (2 channels).
2.7V to 5.5V.
-40°C to +85°C.
24-VSOP (supplier device package) and 24-LSSOP (0.220", 5.60mm Width).
The database lists RoHS3 compliance, but this is unverified.
