AK4324VF

The AK4324VF is a high-performance 24-bit stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for 96kHz sampling mode applications such as DAT and DVD players. It incorporates a 1-bit DAC architecture that ensures monotonicity and low distortion without the need for adjustment, superior to traditional R-2R ladder DACs. The device includes a 24-bit digital filter and a switched-capacitor filter (SCF) in the analog output stage for high tolerance to clock jitter.

The DAC supports sampling rates up to 96kHz and provides 24-bit resolution with 2 channels (stereo). It offers a typical dynamic range of 105 dB and features differential output. The digital interface accepts I2S, LSB Justified, and MSB Justified formats. The device operates from a 4.5V to 5.5V power supply and supports master clock frequencies of 256fs or 384fs at normal speed, and 128fs or 192fs at double speed.

The AK4324VF is designed for surface-mount assembly and is housed in a 24-pin VSOP package. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device includes digital de-emphasis filters for 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, and 96kHz sampling rates, soft mute functionality, and power-down mode. It is suitable for a wide range of audio applications including digital audio players, audio interfaces, and professional audio equipment.
