The AK3-430C-12 is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the AK3 series designed for severe surge environments. It features a 430V standoff voltage, with reverse breakdown voltage ranging from 440V to 490V at 10mA test current. Maximum clamping voltage is 625V at 3kA peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform). The device offers low reverse leakage current of 10µA maximum at standoff voltage and typical capacitance of 2000pF at 0V bias and 10kHz.
Designed for AC and DC line protection, the AK3-430C-12 provides ultra-fast response and low clamping characteristics compared to traditional MOV solutions. It can be connected in series or parallel for higher surge current protection. The temperature coefficient of breakdown voltage is 0.1%/°C, and operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
The device is housed in an axial leaded package with a right angle bend (24.15mm center), through-hole mounting. It is RoHS3, Halogen-free, and Pb-free compliant, with a silver terminal finish. Suitable for general purpose circuit protection applications.
