The AK15-058C is a high power bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed for severe surge protection in AC and DC line applications. It features a standoff voltage of 58V and a breakdown voltage range of 64V to 70V at 10mA test current. The maximum clamping voltage is 110V at a peak pulse current of 15kA (8/20µs waveform) and 2kA (10/350µs waveform).
This device offers very low clamping voltage and fast response compared to MOVs, with a typical temperature coefficient of breakdown voltage of 0.1%/°C. Maximum capacitance is 16nF at 0V bias and 10kHz. The AK15-058C is RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and lead-free (Pb-free E4).
The part is housed in an axial leaded package with right angle bend (24.15mm center) and silver lead finish, suitable for through-hole mounting. Operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 125°C, and storage temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD requirements (15kV air, 8kV contact).
