The AH1913-W-7 from Diodes Incorporated is an ultra-high sensitivity, digital omnipolar Hall-effect switch IC. Designed for micropower operation, it features a hibernating clocking system that results in an average supply current of only 12 μA at 1.8V, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.
This Hall-effect switch operates over a wide supply voltage range of 1.6V to 5.5V, offering flexibility for low-voltage system microcontrollers. Its chopper-stabilized design ensures superior stability in switch-operating points across temperature and supply voltage variations. The device provides an output activated by either a north or south pole of sufficient magnetic field strength, with a sensing range of ±3mT trip and ±2.4mT release.
The AH1913-W-7 boasts high ESD capability of up to 6kV (Human Body Model) for improved system robustness. It is available in the industry-standard SC59 and X1-DFN1216-4 packages, supporting surface mount installation. The switch is RoHS3 compliant and considered a "Green" device, being Halogen and Antimony free.
Key applications include smart cover or dock detection for mobile devices, position detection for cameras and gaming consoles, door/lid/tray position switches in home appliances and industrial settings, and contactless switches for e-locks and smoke detectors.
