The AFE1124E is a complete analog front end (AFE) from Burr-Brown Corporation, designed for HDSL (High bit rate DSL) and MDSL (Medium speed DSL) applications. It integrates all active analog circuitry needed to connect a digital signal processor to an external compromise hybrid and line transformer.
This device features 14-bit resolution with a single channel, and operates over a scalable data rate range of 64 kbps to 1168 kbps. It includes a programmable gain amplifier with selectable gains of 0 dB, 3 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, and 12 dB. The AFE1124E consumes 250 mW of power from a nominal 5V supply, with digital circuitry that can be connected to a 3.3V to 5V supply.
The AFE1124E is housed in a 28-pin SSOP surface mount package. It is suitable for E1, T1, and MDSL operation, and its transmit and receive filter responses automatically change with clock frequency, making it particularly suitable for rate adaptive DSL systems.
The AFE1124E has a resolution of 14 bits.
The nominal supply voltage is 5 V.
It is available in a 28-SSOP (0.209", 5.30mm Width) surface mount package.
The RoHS status is listed as RoHS3 Compliant, but this is unverified and should be confirmed from official documentation.
The typical power dissipation is 250 mW.
It supports data rates from 64 kbps to 1168 kbps.
The programmable gain settings are 0 dB, 3 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, and 12 dB.
