ADXRS645HDYZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADXRS645HDYZ from Analog Devices is a high-performance angular rate sensor with excellent vibration immunity, suitable for high-temperature environments. It operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +175°C and features a measurement range of ±2000°/sec, which can be extended to ±5000°/sec with an external resistor.

This gyroscope utilizes a patented BiMOS surface-micromachining process for proven field reliability. Its advanced differential quad sensor design provides superior acceleration and vibration rejection. The output signal, RATEOUT, is a voltage proportional to the angular rate about the axis normal to the package lid. It requires a 5V single-supply operation and consumes 3.5 mA of current.

The ADXRS645HDYZ is available in a 15-lead tri-in-line package (15-TRIIP). It includes a temperature sensor output for compensation techniques and digital self-test inputs for verifying proper operation. Its robust design makes it suitable for demanding applications such as downhole measurements for geological exploration and severe mechanical environments.
