The ADXL327BCPZ-RL7 from Analog Devices is a complete 3-axis accelerometer designed for motion and tilt-sensing applications. It measures acceleration with a minimum full-scale range of ±2g, capable of detecting both static gravity and dynamic acceleration from motion, shock, or vibration.
This accelerometer features signal-conditioned voltage outputs and allows users to select the bandwidth for each axis independently using external capacitors. The X and Y axes offer bandwidths from 0.5 Hz to 1600 Hz, while the Z axis ranges from 0.5 Hz to 550 Hz. It operates on a single supply voltage between 1.8V and 3.6V and consumes a typical low power of 350 μA.
The device is housed in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm × 1.45 mm LFCSP package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. It supports surface mount installation and offers excellent temperature stability with 10,000g shock survival.
Applications for the ADXL327BCPZ-RL7 include cost-sensitive, low-power motion and tilt sensing in mobile devices, gaming systems, disk drive protection, image stabilization, and sports and health devices.
