The ADXL326BCPZ-RL7 from Analog Devices is a small, low-power, complete 3-axis accelerometer with signal-conditioned voltage outputs. It measures acceleration with a minimum full-scale range of ±19g. This device can detect static acceleration due to gravity in tilt-sensing applications, as well as dynamic acceleration from motion, shock, or vibration.
Key electrical specifications include a single-supply operation from 1.8V to 3.6V and a typical power consumption of 350 μA. The bandwidth for the X and Y axes can be adjusted up to 1600 Hz, while the Z axis bandwidth can be adjusted up to 550 Hz, allowing customization for specific application needs. The sensitivity is rated at 57 mV/g.
This accelerometer is housed in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm × 1.45 mm, 16-lead LFCSP_LQ package, suitable for surface mounting. It offers excellent temperature stability and 10,000g shock survival, making it robust for various applications.
Applications include cost-sensitive, low-power motion and tilt-sensing in mobile devices, gaming systems, disk drive protection, image stabilization, and sports and health devices.
