The ADXL312WACPZ-RL from Analog Devices is a high-resolution, 3-axis digital accelerometer designed for a wide range of applications. It features ultralow power consumption, making it suitable for battery-powered devices. The device supports selectable measurement ranges from ±1.5g to ±12g and offers a fixed 10-bit resolution, with full resolution increasing up to 13-bit at ±12g.
Connectivity is provided via both I2C and SPI serial interfaces, allowing for flexible integration into various systems. The accelerometer includes built-in motion detection functions for activity/inactivity monitoring and an integrated 32-level FIFO buffer to minimize host processor load. Its wide operating temperature range and robust shock survival make it reliable in demanding environments.
The ADXL312WACPZ-RL is supplied in a small, thin 5 mm × 5 mm × 1.45 mm LFCSP package, suitable for surface mounting. This makes it ideal for space-constrained designs. The device is qualified for automotive applications and is RoHS compliant.
Key features include ultralow power operation, selectable measurement ranges and bandwidth, embedded FIFO technology, and built-in motion detection. It operates from a supply voltage of 2V to 3.6V.
