The ADXL213AE-REEL is a low-cost, low-power dual-axis accelerometer from Analog Devices. It features signal-conditioned, duty cycle modulated outputs on a single monolithic IC, capable of measuring both dynamic and static acceleration.
The device measures acceleration with a full-scale range of ±1.2g. Its outputs are digital signals whose duty cycles are proportional to acceleration (30%/g), allowing direct measurement by a microcontroller without additional converters or logic. The bandwidth is adjustable via external capacitors, allowing selection from 0.5 Hz to 250 Hz.
Key features include high zero g bias stability and tight sensitivity stability. The typical noise floor is 160 μg/√Hz, enabling resolution of signals below 1 mg in tilt sensing applications. The ADXL213AE-REEL is qualified for automotive applications and suitable for automotive tilt alarms, data projectors, navigation, platform stabilization, and motion detectors.
It is housed in a compact 8-pad LCC package measuring 5 mm × 5 mm × 2 mm and is designed for surface mount applications. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
