The ADV7182AWBCPZ-RL from Analog Devices is a single-chip, multiformat video decoder designed for standard definition television signals. It automatically detects and converts analog baseband video signals, including NTSC, PAL, and SECAM, into a YCbCr 4:2:2 component video data stream compatible with the 8-bit ITU-R BT.656 interface standard.
This decoder features a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 4x oversampling per channel. It accepts various input formats such as CVBS (composite), S-Video (Y/C), and YPrPb (component), supporting fully differential, pseudo-differential, and single-ended CVBS inputs. Advanced features include on-chip antialiasing filters, adaptive comb filters, CTI/DNR video enhancement, and integrated AGC.
The ADV7182AWBCPZ-RL operates from a single 1.8V supply and is housed in a 32-lead, 5mm x 5mm RoHS-compliant LFCSP package. It is qualified for automotive applications and suitable for use in advanced driver assistance systems, automotive infotainment, and DVRs for video security.
Connectivity is managed via a 2-wire serial MPU interface (I²C compatible). The device also offers a power-down mode for reduced consumption. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
The ADV7182AWBCPZ-RL supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM color demodulation standards.
