The ADV7125KST50 is a triple 8-bit high-speed video digital-to-analog converter (DAC) fabricated on a monolithic CMOS chip. It integrates three independent 8-bit DACs with complementary current outputs, providing up to 50 MHz conversion rate for video signal reconstruction. The device includes an internal 1.235 V reference and accepts TTL-compatible parallel digital inputs. The ADV7125KST50 operates from a single +3.3 V or +5 V supply and is designed for low power dissipation, with a minimum power of 30 mW at 3 V. It supports an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The complementary outputs are RS-343A/RS-170 compatible, making the device suitable for standard video applications. The internal reference simplifies external component count, and the power-down mode allows reduced power consumption when not active. The device is guaranteed monotonic to eight bits with no missing codes. It is packaged in a 48-lead LQFP (7x7 mm) for surface mount assembly.
Typical applications include digital video systems, high resolution color graphics, image processing, instrumentation, and video signal reconstruction. The ADV7125KST50 is also suitable for automotive infotainment units and digital radio modulation. The device is RoHS compliant and qualified for automotive applications.
