The ADV7120KPZ80 is a CMOS triple 8-bit video digital-to-analog converter designed for high resolution color graphics and video systems. It consists of three high-speed 8-bit video D/A converters for red, green, and blue (RGB) video data, with a standard TTL input interface and high impedance analog current outputs. The device operates with a single +5 V supply, an external 1.23 V reference, and a pixel clock input, supporting an 80 MHz update rate. The output is current unbuffered and compatible with RS-343A and RS-170 video standards. The part is available in a 44-PLCC surface mount package (J-lead) and operates over 0°C to 70°C. Key specifications include 8-bit resolution, parallel data interface, external reference, current source architecture, integral nonlinearity of ±1 LSB max, and differential nonlinearity of ±0.5 LSB max.
