The ADuM1410/ADuM1411/ADuM1412 series from Analog Devices are quad-channel digital isolators based on iCoupler® technology. These components combine high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technologies to provide superior isolation performance compared to optocouplers, eliminating design challenges related to current transfer ratios and temperature effects.

These isolators offer four independent channels with data rates up to 10 Mbps (NRZ). They operate with supply voltages ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, enabling compatibility with lower voltage systems and voltage translation across the isolation barrier. The devices feature low power consumption, with maximum current draw per channel at 1.3 mA at 2 Mbps and 4.0 mA at 10 Mbps for 5V operation, and 0.8 mA at 2 Mbps and 1.8 mA at 10 Mbps for 3V operation.

Key features include high common-mode transient immunity of over 25 kV/µs and a programmable default output state. The isolators are designed for high-temperature operation up to 105°C. They are available in a 16-lead, RoHS compliant, SOIC wide body package suitable for surface mounting.

Applications include general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface and data converter isolation, and isolation for RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers and industrial field buses. The devices also carry multiple safety and regulatory approvals, including UL 1577 and IEC/EN/CSA 62368-1.
