The ADuM1400/ADuM1401/ADuM1402 are quad-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices' iCoupler® technology. These isolators combine high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology to provide superior performance compared to optocoupler devices. They eliminate the design challenges associated with optocouplers, such as uncertain current transfer ratios and temperature-dependent performance.
Key features include 2500Vrms isolation, a data rate of up to 10Mbps, and a high common-mode transient immunity of >25 kV/µs. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C and is available in a 16-lead SOIC wide body package suitable for surface mounting.
Applications for these digital isolators include general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface and data converter isolation, and RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceiver isolation. They are also qualified for automotive applications, industrial field bus isolation, and other automotive systems.
