The ADUM1310BRWZ-RL from Analog Devices is a triple-channel digital isolator based on iCoupler® technology. It provides high-speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology for superior performance compared to optocouplers. This device eliminates design difficulties associated with optocouplers, such as uncertain current transfer ratios, maximum operating temperature, and lifetime effects.
Key features include low power operation, 3 V/5 V level translation, Schmitt trigger inputs, and high common-mode transient immunity of greater than 25 kV/µs. The isolator supports data rates up to 10 Mbps (NRZ) and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It is designed for general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface/data converter isolation, and industrial field bus isolation.
The ADUM1310BRWZ-RL is supplied in a 16-lead SOIC wide body package with 8.1 mm external creepage. It features bidirectional communication and a programmable default output state. The device is recognized by UL and certified by CSA and VDE for safety and regulatory compliance.
