The ADUM1100ARZ is a digital isolator based on Analog Devices' iCoupler® technology, designed as a high-speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer solution. It provides superior performance compared to traditional optocoupler devices and is configured as a pin-compatible replacement.
This isolator supports data rates from DC up to 100 Mbps (NRZ) and is compatible with 3.3 V and 5.0 V operation and level translation. It operates with a supply voltage ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V and can withstand a maximum operating temperature of 125°C. The device features high common-mode transient immunity of greater than 25 kV/µs.
Applications for the ADUM1100ARZ include digital field bus isolation, opto-isolator replacement, computer peripheral interfaces, microprocessor system interfaces, and general instrumentation and data acquisition systems. It is supplied in an 8-lead SOIC_N package.
Safety and regulatory approvals include UL recognition for 2500 V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, CSA Component Acceptance Notice 5A, and VDE Certificate of Conformity D IN V VDE V 0884-10.
