The ADUC816BSZ is a member of the ADuC8xx family of MicroConverter microcontrollers from Analog Devices, combining an 8052 8-bit core with precision analog peripherals. The core runs at up to 12.58MHz derived from an external 32kHz crystal via an on-chip PLL. It includes 8KB of Flash/EE program memory with 100-year retention and 100K cycle endurance, 256 bytes of data RAM, and 640 bytes of Flash/EE data memory. The microcontroller features dual independent 16-bit sigma-delta ADCs with programmable gain, a 12-bit voltage output DAC, and an internal temperature sensor. For connectivity, it provides I2C, SPI, and UART serial interfaces. Additional peripherals include a watchdog timer, power supply monitor, and three 16-bit timer/counters. The device operates from 2.7V to 5.5V supply, consuming 3mA typical at 3V and 1.5MHz core clock, and 20µA in power-down mode with the 32kHz crystal active. It is specified for -40°C to +85°C temperature range and is packaged in a 52-MQFP (10x10mm) surface-mount package.
