The ADT7461AARMZ from ON Semiconductor is a dual-channel digital temperature monitor designed for PCs and thermal management systems. It offers both on-chip and remote temperature sensing with high accuracy.
A key feature is its series resistance cancellation, which can automatically cancel up to 1.5 kΩ of resistance in series with the remote temperature monitoring diode, aiding in noise filtering. The device supports a configurable ALERT output and an extended, switchable temperature measurement range.
The ADT7461AARMZ operates over a voltage range of 3V to 3.6V and communicates via a 2-wire SMBus serial interface. It provides programmable over/undertemperature limits and offset registers for system calibration. The sensor is available in a compact 8-MSOP package, suitable for surface mount applications.
