ADSP-BF512BBCZ-4F4 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

ADSP-BF512BBCZ-4F4 is a high-performance fixed-point Blackfin processor from Analog Devices operating at up to 400 MHz. The embedded DSP core includes two 16-bit MACs, two 40-bit ALUs, four 8-bit video ALUs, and a 40-bit shifter, supporting signal processing and video-oriented tasks. It provides 116 kB of on-chip RAM and an external memory controller with glueless support for SDRAM and asynchronous 8-bit/16-bit memories.

Designed for flexibility, the device supports a wide operating voltage range of 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V, and includes interfaces such as I²C, PPI, SPI, SPORT, and UART/USART. The parallel peripheral interface supports ITU-R 656 video data formats. It offers multiple boot options including internal SPI flash, OTP memory, external SPI/parallel memories, and SPI/UART host devices, as well as Lockbox secure technology and a memory management unit.

The processor is housed in a 168-ball CSPBGA (12x12) package and is also available with LFBGA package option, with surface-mount mounting. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (TA).
