The ADSP-21160MKB-80 is a high-performance 32-bit SHARC digital signal processor from Analog Devices. It features a Super Harvard architecture with four independent buses, enabling dual data fetch, instruction fetch, and zero-overhead I/O. The SIMD computational core includes two 32-bit IEEE floating-point computation units, each with a multiplier, ALU, shifter, and register file, suited to intensive mathematical workloads. The device operates at an 80 MHz clock rate and requires a 3.3 V supply.
On-chip memory includes 512 kB of dual-ported SRAM. Interfaces include host interface, link port, and serial port. The processor is designed for applications such as audio, medical, military, graphics, imaging, and communication. Its backward compatibility with ADSP-2106x assembly code supports migration of legacy designs.
The ADSP-21160MKB-80 is supplied in a 400-ball PBGA package measuring 27 mm x 27 mm, with surface-mount mounting. It supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 85°C. The lead-free package is RoHS compliant. The device includes an IEEE 1149.1 JTAG test access port and on-chip emulation for debugging.
The supply voltage is 3.30 V.
It uses a 400-PBGA package measuring 27 mm x 27 mm with surface-mount mounting.
