The ADS8867IDGS is a 16-bit, 100 kSPS, successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It features a true-differential input with a wide common-mode voltage range and a SPI-compatible serial interface with daisy-chain capability.
This ADC operates from a single analog supply of 2.7 V to 3.6 V and a separate digital supply of 1.65 V to 3.6 V, enabling low-power operation. Typical power consumption is 0.7 mW at 100 kSPS and 70 µW at 10 kSPS, with a power-down current of 50 nA. The device offers excellent AC performance with 96.5 dB SNR and -115 dB THD, and DC performance with ±1.0 LSB maximum INL and DNL, ensuring 16-bit no missing code operation.
The ADS8867IDGS is available in a 10-lead VSSOP (DGS) surface-mount package, supplied in tubes of 80 pieces. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a variety of precision data acquisition applications.
