This ADC achieves a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 74 dB and a signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) of 73.9 dB with a 10 kHz input. Integral nonlinearity (INL) and differential nonlinearity (DNL) are both ±0.5 LSB maximum. Power consumption is typically 155 mW from a single 5V analog supply, with a maximum power dissipation of 32.5 mW and a power-down mode consuming only 50 µW.

 

The ADS8512IBDW is housed in a 16-pin SOIC (DW) surface-mount package with dimensions of 10.3 mm × 10.3 mm. It is rated for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The device includes an on-chip oscillator and is pin-compatible with the ADS7812 and 16-bit ADS7813/8513.
