ADS8507IBDWR Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Texas Instruments ADS8507IBDWR is a 16-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) offering a maximum sampling rate of 40kSPS. It accepts a single-ended input with selectable voltage ranges of ±10V, 5V, and 4V. The device provides both an SPI-compatible serial interface with daisy-chain capability and a full parallel interface. It supports external or internal 2.5V reference. The typical power consumption is 155mW and can be reduced to 24mW (typ) at 40kSPS in a low power mode. The converter achieves 89.9dB SNR and ±1.5LSB maximum INL. It is packaged in a 28-pin SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) surface-mount package and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. This ADC is pin-compatible with the ADS7807 and 12-bit ADS7806/8506.
