The ADS8363SRHBT is a dual 16-bit, 1-MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It features eight pseudo-differential input channels or four fully-differential input channels, with simultaneous sampling of two channels. The converter communicates via an SPI interface and supports both external and internal reference modes. The ADC achieves a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 93 dB and typical power consumption of 47.2 mW. It operates from analog supplies of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and digital supplies of 2.3 V to 5.5 V, with an input voltage range from 0 V to 5.5 V.
The device includes dual programmable and buffered 2.5-V references, allowing two different input voltage range settings or a two-level PGA implementation. A programmable auto-sequencer simplifies channel scanning, and integrated data storage supports oversampling applications. A 2-bit counter is included for safety applications. The ADC is specified for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The ADS8363SRHBT is housed in a 32-lead VQFN package with exposed pad (5 mm × 5 mm), suitable for surface-mount assembly. It is designed for applications requiring simultaneous sampling of multiple channels with high resolution and low power consumption.
