The ADS8330IRSAT is a 16-bit, 1MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments. It offers two single-ended input channels with multiplexed configuration, an SPI-compatible serial interface, and an external voltage reference. The device achieves excellent AC performance with 93 dB SNR and low power consumption of 13.2 mW typical.
The ADC operates from an analog supply of 2.7V to 5.5V and a digital I/O supply of 1.65V to 5.5V. The input voltage range is 0V to VREF (maximum 5.5V). It includes a built-in oscillator and supports daisy-chain mode for multi-chip configurations. The device also features comprehensive power-down modes including deep power-down, nap, and auto-nap.
The ADS8330IRSAT is housed in a 16-VQFN Exposed Pad package (4x4 mm) for surface mount assembly. It is rated for operation from -40°C to 85°C. Typical applications include communications transducer interfaces, medical instruments, magnetometers, industrial process control, data acquisition systems, and automatic test equipment.
