The ADS8328IRSAT is a low-power, 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) using a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture. It achieves a sampling rate of 500 kSPS and includes a 2-to-1 input multiplexer supporting both differential and single-ended inputs. The device provides excellent AC performance with a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 91 dB, spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 100 dB, and total harmonic distortion (THD) of -96 dB at a 10 kHz input frequency. DC linearity is specified with typical integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1.5 LSB and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±0.6 LSB.
The ADC communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface with a clock speed up to 50 MHz. It requires an external voltage reference and operates from an analog supply of 2.7V to 5.5V and an I/O supply of 1.65V to 5.5V. Typical power dissipation is 10.6 mW at 500 kHz operation. The device is housed in a 16-lead VQFN package with an exposed pad (4x4 mm) for surface-mount assembly. It is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The analog supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V, and the I/O supply voltage range is 1.65V to 5.5V.
It is available in a 16-VQFN Exposed Pad package (16-QFN 4x4mm).
