ADS8326IDGKR Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADS8326IDGKR is a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It converts a single pseudo-differential input at sample rates up to 250 kSPS and communicates via a serial SPI-compatible interface.

The device accepts input voltages from 0 V to 5.5 V and operates from analog and digital supplies of 2.7 V to 5.5 V. It delivers a typical SNR of 91.5 dB with no missing codes, and nonlinearity of ±1 LSB typical INL and ±0.6 LSB typical DNL. Power consumption scales with sampling rate: 10 mW at 5 V and 250 kHz, 4 mW at 2.7 V and 200 kHz, 2 mW at 2.7 V and 100 kHz, and 0.2 mW at 2.7 V and 10 kHz.

This ADC targets battery-operated systems, remote or isolated data acquisition, multichannel simultaneous sampling, industrial controls, robotics, and vibration analysis. It is offered in an 8-pin VSSOP surface-mount package (also specified as 8-TSSOP/8-MSOP) and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
