ADS8319IDGSR Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADS8319IDGSR is a 16-bit, 500 kSPS successive-approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It features a unipolar, single-ended input range from 0 V to VREF and an external reference. The device includes a capacitor-based SAR ADC with inherent sample and hold, and a 50 MHz SPI-compatible serial interface supporting daisy-chain operation.

The ADC delivers excellent dynamic performance with a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 93.6 dB and total harmonic distortion (THD) of -106 dB at a 10 kHz input. Integral non-linearity (INL) is ±1.5 LSB maximum and differential non-linearity (DNL) is ±1 LSB maximum. Power dissipation is only 18 mW typical at 500 kSPS, with a power-down state consuming only 0.25 µW.

The device is offered in a 10-lead VSSOP package (VSSOP-10) and is surface mount. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The ADS8319IDGSR is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected, with an MSL rating of Level-2-260C-1 year.
