The ADS826E is a 10-bit, 60MSPS pipelined CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It operates from a single +5V power supply and provides excellent performance with both single-ended and differential inputs. Key specifications include a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 60dB, spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 74dBFS, and low differential nonlinearity (DNL) of 0.25LSB. The device integrates a high-bandwidth track-and-hold, a 10-bit quantizer, and an internal reference that can be disabled for external reference use.
The ADC consumes 265mW during normal operation and features a power-down mode that reduces dissipation to 20mW. It supports a programmable input voltage range (1.5V to 3.5V for single-ended) and offers a parallel data interface with +3V/+5V logic compatibility. The ADS826E is designed for applications such as medical imaging, communications, CCD imaging, video digitizing, and test equipment.
The device is housed in a 28-pin SSOP package (0.209", 5.30mm width) with gull wing terminals for surface mount assembly. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
