The ADS825E/1K is a 10-bit, 40 MSPS pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It offers high dynamic performance with a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 60 dB and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 72 dBFS, making it suitable for demanding applications such as medical imaging, test equipment, and communications.
The ADC operates from a single +5V analog supply and supports both single-ended and differential analog inputs. It includes an internal reference with the option to use an external reference for gain and offset matching in multichannel systems. The device features a parallel data interface and is available in a 28-pin SSOP package.
With a typical power dissipation of only 190 mW, the ADS825E/1K is designed for low-power applications. It also includes a power-down mode that reduces consumption to 20 mW. The converter employs digital error correction to ensure excellent differential linearity, critical for imaging applications.
