ADS804E/1K Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADS804E/1K is a high-speed, 12-bit pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments, offering a sampling rate of 10 MSPS. It includes a high-bandwidth track-and-hold circuit providing an analog input bandwidth of 270 MHz and excellent spurious performance up to and beyond the Nyquist rate.

Key performance specifications include a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 69 dB, a spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 80 dB, and an effective number of bits (ENOB) of 11 bits. The device consumes only 180 mW of power and supports flexible peak-to-peak input voltage ranges of 2 V and 5 V, selectable via an internal or external reference. An over-range indicator flag is also provided.

The ADC is housed in a 28-pin SSOP surface-mount package (0.209", 5.30mm width) and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It supports both differential and single-ended inputs with a parallel CMOS/TTL data interface. The device is rated for catalog applications and is offered in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 1000 pieces.
