The ADS7957SDBTR is a 10-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 1 MSPS and features 16 single-ended input channels via an integrated multiplexer. The device uses an external reference and communicates over an SPI interface.
The ADC operates from an analog supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.25V and a digital I/O supply from 1.7V to 5.25V. Typical power consumption is 11.5 mW. The input voltage range is 0V to 5.25V (or up to 2x VREF with software selectable ranges). It achieves a typical SNR of 60 dB.
The ADS7957SDBTR is housed in a 38-pin TSSOP package (38-TFSOP, 4.40mm width) and is designed for surface mount assembly. It supports an extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The device includes four configurable GPIOs in the TSSOP package and offers programmable alarm levels per channel.
